Meet Our New Jersey Staff
In his capacity as SVP, New Jersey State Counsel, Larry brings to CATIC Title more than 40 years of legal experience spanning representation of parties to residential and commercial real estate transactions, condominium associations, business and corporate entities, and as a commercial litigator. He also served on the Board of Directors of two condominium associations and was elected President of both. Larry is a 25-year veteran of the title insurance industry, working as underwriting counsel for national title insurance companies, and rising to the level of senior underwriter and national counsel.
He spent more than 20 years as the Director of a NJ state-licensed continuing education school, authoring and presenting continuing education programs for licensed title producers and attorneys in the states of NJ, PA, MD, VA, WV and DC. In addition to addressing agent and bar groups, Larry has spoken before the American Land Title Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Land Title Association, and the National Association of Independent Land Title Agents. He is a past President of the New Jersey Land Title Association and is a delegate to the NJLTA Board of Governors and the New Jersey Land Title Insurance Rating Bureau. A frequent contributor to the NJLTA’s statewide publication, The Advocate, Larry also sits on their editorial board.
A graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, PA, Larry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. He is admitted to practice before the New Jersey and New York state and federal courts and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Jeff comes to CATIC with more than 30 years of legal experience, including residential and commercial real estate transactions, real estate litigation, foreclosure and a wide variety of commercial representation. He began his career in 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona, where he practiced law syndicating land deals and represented lenders in creditors rights and commercial litigation. He returned to New Jersey in 1989 and has focused his career in creditors rights, real estate and real estate litigation, representing lenders and title agents in a variety of real estate related matters, as well as underwriters in title claims litigation.
Jeff has been active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors and as President of his community association. He also formed and led a youth lacrosse club and the South Jersey Youth Lacrosse League. He is attorney to the Board of Directors of the South Jersey Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse.
Jeff is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and he earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Notre Dame Law School. He is admitted to practice before the New Jersey state and federal courts.
In her role as New Jersey Title Counsel, Marilyn brings CATIC a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience gained during her more than 30 years of working on the agency side as an attorney/underwriter, the last 18 of which were with a prominent NJ title agency. Reading and abstracting, title production, settlements, recordings, and everything in between are the strengths she brings to the NJ team in both the residential and commercial markets.
In addition to practicing law in the real estate arena, Marilyn’s experience includes default work and bankruptcies, estates, and matrimonial practice, as well as a stint with a national title underwriter doing agency and underwriting audits.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton, with a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, Marilyn enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and classical music during her non-work time. She played the oboe in the Brooklyn Law School Chamber Music Ensemble.
As New Jersey Operations Manager and AVP, Tiffany brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in optimizing operational processes, driving efficiency, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational excellence. In her role on the CATIC Title NJ Team, Tiffany will oversee all aspects of agent support, claims administration and underwriting functions in the delivery of best-in-class service for CATIC Title’s New Jersey agents.
No stranger to real estate and title insurance practices, she recently served as Settlement Manager for a prominent bank owned title agency. She has substantial experience in the title curative arena, having served in a management and supervisory role for law firms specializing in title, foreclosure, and real estate litigation. Her paralegal experience also includes work in the litigation department of the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family services.
A licensed title insurance producer in the States of NJ, NY, PA and DC, Tiffany earned her Paralegal Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is on track to receive her bachelor’s in business management from Amberton University in June of 2024. When not working or studying, Tiffany enjoys attending her son’s college basketball games, thrifting, crocheting and listening to music.
As Agency Services Adviser, Lydia brings to CATIC Title agents and staff some 41 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of the title insurance business including statewide operations management; marketing and sales deployment; auditing, accounting, budgeting and business plan development; title underwriting and the education of title underwriters, producers and attorneys; and risk assessment, claims prevention and implementation of claims minimization strategies.
Lydia earned professional designation and recognition for her dedication to the title industry as a delegate to the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Land Title Association and Rating Bureau; she is a Past President, New Jersey Land Title Association; was inscribed as a Lifetime Honorary Member designee; and achieved the NJLTA Certified Title Professional designation.
An alumni of The School of General Studies of Columbia University, New York, NY, Lydia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, and with the distinction of being named Senior Class Marshall. In addition to her passion for the studies of religion and human evolution at Columbia University, Lydia studied accounting and economics at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
