Meet Our Staff
As the New York State Manager for CATIC Title Insurance Company, Bob brings 25 years of experience in the New York title insurance industry. His experience includes Principal of a Municipal Search company and Principal/Managing Member of a NY title agency before joining CATIC Title Insurance Company. During this time, he developed solid professional relationships with clients, legal professionals, vendors, peer agency principals and underwriters. Bob has been an agency board member of the New York State Land Title Association for years and recently was invited to join the ARC of Westchester Board of Directors. Bob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics/Finance at Bentley University and his MBA in Finance at Iona College. Bob has the professional and personal knowledge to assist all CATIC Title Insurance Company clients seeking guidance with their New York title insurance needs.
Lily joined CATIC Title in October 2018 as Associate Underwriting Counsel for the Tarrytown, NY office. She comes to CATICO with 5 years of experience in the title insurance industry. She previously worked as a title examiner, a reader, and a clearance officer and was Counsel for a NY title Agency.
Lily received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and her J .D., cum laude from Pace University School of Law with a concentration in International Law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and California.
Raymond joined CATIC in 2009 and is currently Vice President and Chief Counsel at its Fairfield County office in Norwalk, Connecticut. He has extensive practice experience in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions, acquisition, construction, leasing and finance. Raymond is active in many of the local bar associations and served on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield County Bar Association and as co-chair of its Insurance and Real Estate Committees from 2007-2016. He has been published in the Connecticut Probate Law Journal and is a frequent speaker for the Bar’s continuing legal education programs and seminars in the areas of insurance and real estate law.
Chris Kallenbach is CATIC Title’s Vice President of Business Development. In this position, Chris coordinates the company's efforts in planning, developing and executing CATIC Title’s marketing and advertising initiatives. He is also responsible for preparing and implementing an overall marketing strategy for the company and overseeing new business and product development. Chris is also actively involved with the sales team and business development efforts of CATIC Title. Chris received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Tulane University. He is admitted to practice law in both Connecticut and New York, and is a member of the American Bar Association. Chris is also an active member of the New England Land Title Association, and previously served as its President.
Michael J. Kaplan is our Post Closing Supervisor and comes to CATIC Title with 40 years’ experience in the real estate and title insurance industries. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Michael began his career working for the New York City Department of Finance’s City Register’s Office as a Mortgage Tax Examiner and liaison with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He later moved on to the private sector, working with various title insurance offices in Manhattan as a preparer and recorder of real estate documents, and with attorneys and their paralegals answering questions and preparing documents for closings. Through the years he has become knowledgeable in problem-solving many issues regarding recording documents no matter how extensive and difficult they may be. Michael has completed Real Estate Closing courses, Legal Assistant Studies, and Paralegal Certification, and is a licensed Notary Public with the State of New York.
Stephen Maggiola has been in the title business for more than forty years, first as a title searcher, then in private practice after graduating from UConn School of Law in 1980, and later as counsel for title insurance companies, joining CATIC in 2009. He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law.
Steve is an emeritus member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and a member of the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association, the American Land Title Association, Past President of the Connecticut Title Association, former chairman of the Town of Fairfield Planning and Zoning Commission, and former Board Member of Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County.
He has lectured and authored material for numerous educational programs, and is the author of the monthly Connecticut Attorneys Court Reporter, and Steve’s Title Tidbits, which is a regular post of news and information of interest to real estate attorneys distributed by CATIC and on Twitter.
James Segreto serves as Operations Manager of CATIC Title Insurance Company based out of the Tarrytown, New York office.
James brings to CATICO over 15 years of experience and knowledge in all areas of the New York Title Insurance Industry, having most recently held the titles of Vice President and Vice President of Operations for two New York Title Agencies. James is responsible for streamlining processes and developing efficiencies that allow the company to focus on the needs and success of its Agents, as CATICO continues to provide a level of service unparalleled in the industry.
James earned his B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University and resides in Peekskill New York with his wife and two dogs.
